A warm message from Cara

This retreat exists because of you. And FOR you. It's my thank you, in part, to each of you for showing up, doing the inner work, and choosing yourself in a season of life that doesn't always make it easy. The VMC Annual Retreat is my way of deepening our work together, giving us all a chance to enjoy each other's company IN PERSON, and to create a nurturing space of ritual, renewal, and rhythm.

We're heading to the mountains of Marble, Colorado for a weekend that is equal parts meaningful and restorative. Expect real conversations, grounded teaching, movement, good food, spaciousness, and the kind of connection that only happens when a small group of women are fully present together, away from the noise of everyday life.

Let's go have a little fun, take in some mountain beauty, live in our pajamas and yoga clothes, and get cozy for a weekend away.

Your Retreat at a Glance

A quick overview of the key details before your weekend begins.

What to expect: Teaching sessions, guided reflection, morning movement, shared meals, free time, and genuine connection with your Collective

The Eagle's Nest AirBNB

High above the town of Marble, with sweeping views of the Crystal River Valley and thousands of acres of wilderness surrounding you, the Eagle's Nest is the kind of place that makes you exhale the moment you arrive.

This spacious, modern mountain cabin sits on over an acre of quiet privacy. The deck alone with its panoramic mountain views might be where you spend most of your time. Whether you're watching the sun rise over the valley or gathering around the table after dinner, you'll get that cozy mountain girls getaway vibe.

A Collective Gathering

This retreat is exclusively for your VMC cohort—time to enjoy more than an hour of uninterrupted time together! You're not walking into a room full of strangers. You're arriving as someone who's getting to know and admire the other women in your VMC community.

Expect honest conversation, belly laughs, shared experiences, guided learning and practices, collective wisdom, and the kind of relief that comes from being real and known. This is a heart felt and light hearted weekend with fellow moms to connect and grow.

Mountain Escape

Marble, Colorado sits at nearly 8,000 feet, tucked into the Elk Mountains along the Crystal River. It is genuinely one of the more beautiful places in the state. Remote enough to feel like a world away, even though it's just a short drive from Carbondale, CO

The area is surrounded by hiking trails, forest, and sky. The Crystal Mill, one of Colorado's most photographed landmarks, is just a few miles up the road. If you want to explore, there's plenty of wilderness to walk. If you want to simply sit on the deck and watch the mountains, you'll have friends!

Optional Shared Lodging

If you'd like to stay overnight with your VMC cohort, the Eagle's Nest sleeps a small group comfortably across three bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Everyone will have their own bed, with multiple beds per room.

Staying together at the house is part of what makes this weekend feel like a retreat and not just an event. Morning coffee on the deck, late-night conversations in the living room, the magic of waking up in the same place as the people you're learning alongside and skipping the drive — it's worth it.

Retreat, Renew, Recharge

This weekend is built around you having enough to renew: enough space, enough stillness, enough good conversation, enough time to actually recharge before Monday comes back around.

The programming is intentional but not packed. There is room to breathe between sessions, take a short nap, read a book, take a walk, or find a quiet corner to stretch if that's what you need. We'll move through teaching, guided reflection, sharing meals and snacks, movement, and connection.

Simple, Nourishing Meals

All primary meals are provided from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast. Think simple, wholesome food that fuels the weekend Vibrant Mom style. I'm excited to host this special group of women.

We'll share our meals around the table together — which, if you've ever spent a weekend with a close group of women, you know is where some of the best conversations happen. Please bring beverages (bubble water, tea, alcohol, non alcohol, etc.), snacks and sweets to share.

A Place to Exhale

Surrounded by the mountains, you'll find space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself. Every view, every quiet moment, and every shared conversation is designed to help you leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.

Getting There

827 Serpentine Trail Marble, CO 81623

Marble is approximately 45 minutes away from Carbondale. The drive in is scenic: winding through the Crystal River Valley along a well-maintained road. All-wheel drive is always a good idea in the mountains this time of year, and the dirt road up to the Eagle's Nest is on the steeper side.

Arrival: Plan to arrive Friday, November 6 around 5pm, so we can settle in and start the weekend together with a welcome dinner.

Parking is available on-site. If you're flying in, Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is the closest commercial airport, approximately 40 minutes away from Carbondale, CO.

Carpool: We'll make sure everyone has a ride, and we can travel together as desired.
