Midlife Strength: Training Your Body and Your Emotions Together
For most of our lives, we were taught to work out to control our bodies, or to pursue "smaller is better." In midlife, I want to offer you a different reason to build strength: to get bigger. Stronger in your body for the long haul, with more energy to rise to the occasion at work, in parenting, for the capacity to navigate relationship challenges, and in stepping into your authentic experience of your own potential.
You can learn to bring more mental and emotional capacity for whatever your week brings and more care for the tender parts of you that need it.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why your body needs a movement update in midlife: strength, healthspan, and brain health
- A three-part practice to help your inner world benefit from your workout.
- How to leave your workout more integrated: mind, body, emotions, spirit.
